I just got word that the new series of Doctor Who will start on BBC America here in the States on April 17. All I know about the UK premier is that it’ll be around Easter (I may know more next week). The BBC confirms that the first three episode titles will be The Eleventh Hour and The Beast Below, both by Steven Moffat, and Victory of the Daleks by Mark Gatiss. Guest stars include Alex Kingston (River Song is back!), Sophie Okonedo, and Tony Curran.

Yay!

  1. From what I heard at Gallifrey this weekend, the BBC premiere will be on April 4th. Or 4 April, if you prefer.

Phil, you gotta come to Gallifrey next year! It’s wonderfully fun. :)

    April 3rd for the UK.

Those are not really spoilers. More like schedule updates and credits.

series 5 is gonna come out on april 3 and the first six episodes are:
    The Eleventh Hour
    The Beast Below
    Victory Of The Daleks
    The Time Of Angels
    Flesh And Stone
    Vampires Of Venice

  5. I really do love some of those titles. “Victory of the Daleks” sounds very much like the classic episode titles where often it was “X of the Daleks”, and “Vampires of Venice” sounds very much like it should be the title of one of the BBC books. Probably an 8th Doctor book.
