Being a fellow Scot I'm proud of Craig Ferguson, sure he may accentuate his accent a little for the American market but he goes a long way show that us Scots aren't all kilt wearing, whiskey drinking, haggis eating, bag pipe playing stereotypes that are often seen in international media. Sure we do a little of that from time to time but not to Braveheart levels! </patriotic_rant_over>

Excited to see the skeleton tho, been getting regular updates about it from Grant Imahara on his Twitter.

Way back in 2001, there was a comedy debate on Australian television in which teams argued for and against the notion that "the brain is the sexiest organ".

I (very) dimly recall that during the debate, reference was made to a myth that if two people stare into each others' eyes for a given length of time (presumably blinking is allowed but not aversion of gaze) then an expression of either affection or violence will always result - put crudely, they will either kiss or punch.

It was a comedy debate, not to be taken seriously. But if I were to meet the Mythbusters at a party, then it's definitely something I would like to try. Preferably with Kari, who strikes me as the sort of person who would be amused by the suggestion.

My hypothesis: the experiment would probably end in a third option - laughter.

Too bad Geoff won't have the proper amount of suction.

@Navneeth: That's one of the reasons why I really love his show. It's not like Leno (patooey) or Letterman where they make stale jokes getting the middle-of-the-road cheap laughs. He actually appreciates his audience and knows that they are intelligent people, and that he can talk about Flaubert , or like last week, talked to a moral philosopher and had an intelligent conversation.

Basketball will delay things at least in the Eastern and Central time zones. Tip off is scheduled for 9:21 Eastern. TV listings in DC have the news starting at 11:30, so figure at least a half hour delay unless you're in the western U.S.

Grant has been releasing photos of Geoff on the Late Late Show set on his Twitter stream @grantimahara.

Kudos to Mr. Ferguson. I'm amazed that he managed to talk about Copernicus for five minutes on a late-night laugh-at-the-stereotype show.

As if all the parties at Elton John's house weren't enough, Craig was also in an episode of Red Dwarf! <http://www.reddwarf.co.uk/guide/index.cfm?sectionID=episodes&seriesID=1&subsectionID=confidenceandparanoia>
