Hey, Lego my astro

By Phil Plait | May 15, 2010 7:55 am

Well, what can I say about this?

That’s me! Kinda. Pixbymaia on Flickr posted this along with Lego doppelgangers of several other scientists. Pretty cool! But in real life I’m even less well-rounded.

  1. Love the background additions. :)

Hey, if you like LEGO, then check out The Brick Testament.

  3. Scott

That’s not you Phil — that’s Richard Wiseman in Lego! :-)

  4. Unzyme

All hail the mighty Flying Spaghetti Monster and his noodly appendages.

OM FSM! You’ve indeed been touched by his Noodly Goodness! Ramen. :-)

    Enblockenate for bigger picture?

Except .. shouldn’t the cap be black with a lil’ blue NASA symbol and the shirt white? Ah well. Can’t have everything I guess.

BTW. Is there a lego Hubble or lego ISS & shuttle somewhere ..

  7. Thorne

    Which one’s you?

http://www.irregularwebcomic.net/ is also worth checking out for fans of Mythbusters, Steve Irving, D&D, Jane Goodall, Newton, Harry Potter and puns. Just to mention a few subjects.

  9. Sam

I hope that fundamentalist Pastafarans who are offended at images of The Flying Spaghetti Monster don’ riot or threaten anybody.

That’s cool Phil! I want to collect the whole set. I can foresee a line of accessories for the deluxe Lego models – for example, a Newtonian telescope on a trolley for your Lego, 8 attachable octopod arms for PZ Myers, etc…

  11. jcm

Where’s the telescope? Oh, I guess the FSM can quickly transform himself into one.

“That’s not you Phil — that’s Richard Wiseman in Lego”

They’re twins, so of course the LEGO would like the same. Duh.

  13. Pi-needles

    @11. MichaelL: Thanks. :-)

  14. Why is the FSM in the photo? I thought this blog was supposed to be a religion-free zone.

  15. Original inspiration for FSM?

    Church of Flying Spaghetti Monster

Been hanging on wall for over 2 decades.

  16. jb

mmm is that you wearing pants?
not that there is anything wrong with that.. :)

  17. I honestly thought it was Adam Savage in lego form

  18. mike burkhart
