When they asked me to participate in the Minneapolis W00tstock, I mentioned that I knew a friend of Adam Savage’s – Phil Plait. Paul (of Paul and Storm) replied – EVERYONE knows Phil Plait – he’s the Kevin Bacon of nerdom!

So the Comic-Con W00tstock will be zero degrees of separation!

Ken B beat me to it… I was surprised that I recognized Adam Savage in that image, before I scrolled down to read his name. I’ve seen the Wil Wheaton one many times before, so recognizing it was no surprise. I actually don’t think I’d have got that one if I wasn’t already familiar with it. But the Savage one somehow captures him.

I was at the Chicago w00tstock last month, it was unreal awesome with fall out of your chair nerd funny. And 3 hours is a bit misleading. It was 4:45 and 5:30 if you include the autograph line. I highly recommend to anyone who is in the SD area/comic con.

Perhaps Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young?

Even better would be Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, Merrill, Lynch, Pierce, Fenner, and Smith.

Theron @5: Not entirely. They’ve played both Chicago and Minneapolis recently. And if you can convince them that a certain threshold of tickets will be sold (I think it’s 300), they will come to your town, too.

So, now that I know what wootstock is, I am considered abnormal?

Is this going to be in the DSM-V among the diagnostic criteria?

I was normal and I didn’t even know it. Gosh. I feel as if I have wasted so much of my life being normal.

I know it’s terribly pedantic; however, I feel compelled to point out that since the Beatles didn’t play at Woodstock, a different album should have been referenced. Perhaps Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young?

Now that the killjoy has spoken, this sounds unbelievably cool and hope to make it to one of these events someday.

Also, speaking of Wil, does anyone know when Season 4 of The Guild is slated to begin? Sure I could Google it and find out for myself, but I prefer going the slow route.
