Yeah, these observatory complexes look like something out of a sci-fi movie. My favorite is still the Mauna Kea Science Complex. Maybe if I visit one of the high altitude observatories in Chile I might change my mind … especially after all the wine and lack of oxygen.

Some good ones there.

My fave was the one with the Observatory relocated to the Moon by Hungryghost & the ones with Saturn added by Hagar the Horrible & with the Star Trek ship & Saturn too by slimfast.

There were many other nice ones as well such as the Milky Way over the setting /rising Moon and observatory by hneftafl although the moonlight would wash out much of the picture in reality! The woman seen from a cupboard /sink by manyone was clever and well done.

I would have *really* loved to have seen a Babylon-5 themed one but, alas, there wasn’t one entered.

Nice pic. Sorry to go off topic Phil, but do you have a take on either the solar storm coming our way tonight or what’s happening with the space station repairs? Just asking, I enjoy reading your perspective and insight on such matters.
