Gollum will survive

By Phil Plait | September 28, 2010 12:00 pm

I’ll be posting a quick summary of w00tstock 2.5.1 sometime later in the week. However, to give you a small taste, an apertif of this Nerdapalooza, I present to you My Close Personal Friend Adam Savage™ on stage with Paul & Storm, performing… well, see for yourself.

Amazingly, this is neither the weirdest nor nerdiest thing that happens at w00tstock.

    Same here:

This video is not available in your country.

  3. He really does do a solid Smeagol, a man of many talents to be sure. I’m pretty sure he did a version of this on the Nerdist #10 a Largo.

You know what would make that better, if Storm was wearing a wookie costume.

  5. worlebird

*sigh* YouTube fascists. “This video is not available in your country.” Seriously? On what grounds? What makes YouTube decide to do that to a particular video? When are governments and companies going to realize that the internet has no borders?

  6. DrFlimmer

Is there an “international” version available?

  8. Grand Lunar

Saw it on your YouTube site before here!

So if this isn’t the nerdiest thing to have happened at Wootstock, what is?

  9. Noel

It’s so strange seeing Wil Wheaton and Adam Savage written next to one another in one sentence. Do they get along at all?

  10. Pete

Here too: “This Video is not available in your country”.

Screw the [RI|MP]AA, seriously. Do they think I’ll get intersted in any of their stuff if even the “meta material” (as I’m sure this is a derivative work) is kept under wraps?

Be nice if I could actually here what he was saying…too much echo and distortion. Computer speaker fail. Phil, if come across a clearer version, please post. Thanks.

  12. Matthew Ota

    He is better on MythBusters…
