Just watched the show. Really liked the comic book atmosphere and is always good to see a new science show breaking the people’s routine. My country need more of this. Perhaps it could reach the free tv, one day.

We are desperately in need for some good astronomy to reach the general public here in Brazil. Hope this inspire some people to search knowledge.

Next step: Translate “Death from the Skies” to Brazilian Portuguese. (I had to buy mine at amazon).

Hey im from Brazil also, yeah the minute i saw the commercial i recognized you from other series that pass here on Discovery and History Channel! It looks great, cheers from Brazil! (oh and yeah, i have to admit that usually here we have some really good dubbing that usually become classic lol. Like the guy they use here to dub Bear Grylls, its awesome!)

Yes, Cindy his accent is called “carioca”, it is from Rio de Janeiro.
It is really strong and annoying to listen on a TV Show. He also speaks like he is reading a book for children. You can listen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3OxPQv5SuA

He dubbed Mike Rowe in the series How the Universe Works. That’s a pitty because Mike Rowe has a very good brazillian “dubber” in the Dirty Jobs series who would do a much better job.

“Universo Implacável” (Implacable Universe), even if not a “right” translation, in portuguese it sounds much better than “Universo Mau” (Bad Universe).
