I tend to agree with Thameron with respect to the amount of material. Maybe it is time to become “52 Weeks of Astronomy”. In my opinion, it is better to have a smaller number of excellent podcasts rather than struggle to fill everyday.

I have sponsored a fair number of days personally, but I have to say that I don’t really think there is enough material to keep filling every day with something different. As evidence I point to just how many of those podcasts have been about Galileo.

I typo’d my first comment above, I meant 29 others… somehow my brain did the math as number of months minus 1 rather than average number of days a month minus 1. So, where are my 29 new friends that will support one day a month. We hear far too many “no-one” in Pamela’s introduction to the episodes.

Of course, you can donate smaller amounts. While you won’t get announced as supporting the episode, every dollar donated helps.

I heartily encourage Chris and Darren to go for it. What you don’t consider a brilliant idea, because it’s your own, someone else will be amazed and wonder at your genius. Maybe. But the only way to find out is try.

Well, I’ve been writing songs about space travel and about being an astronaut. I suppose I could record 6-8 minutes about why I do that. That’s about all I’ve got. I don’t know if it would be considered that appropriate enough for the show, though.
