Larian, What Texian’s are adverse to is not Reality (maybe Reality TV), but Snooty Folks that “claim” they have a good friend from Texas and aren’t really making fun of him/her. ‘Cides, is Del Rio really in Texas?

Since I lives in Tyler and bees a Astronomeer, I am going to listen to Mr. Plait tonight. Since he worked on the Hubble, I want to know if he is the one that made the Billion $$ Boo-Boo on the Mirror AND failed to check it with the simplest of devices – Foucault Knife Edge Tester????!!! @Mag, was a bit of a joke (considering the numerous “Texas: DOOMED” pictures Phil has posted, and the poor reception Bill Nye got in Waco. Common lore in these parts.)

I lived in Del Rio. My in-laws currently live in (what’s left of) Bastrop, and prior to that in Austin. I am familiar with Texas. Don’t be too touchy, and laugh a little.
