Happy anniversary to both Spitzer and her team! I've got friends involved with the program and they were thrilled, recently, to get the news that they could carry on a while longer.

Well, if the real astronomers say the originating star is "just off the top of the picture" I suppose I have to believe them, but it sure as anything looks like it originates from the star in the center. The narrow end is centered on that star and it gets wider and fainter as distance increases. Also said star is surrounded by a partial shell of gas, so it isn't just some quiet background star, it's active somehow.
