Cosmic Variance is a group blog by people who, coincidentally or not, all happen to be physicists and astrophysicists:
Our day (and night) jobs notwithstanding, the blog is about whatever we find interesting — science, to be sure, but also arts, politics, culture, technology, academia, and miscellaneous trivia. We have similar outlooks on many things, widely disparate opinions about others, and will do our best to keep the discourse reasonably elevated.

Marcavage is just not telling us what we in other cities need to know! Will the drunken titty parties OR the drunken man-on-man action lead to a city’s smiting, or do you have to have both? If both are carried out by sober people does it count? What about if just one is carried out by drunks? If the lubricant used is blessed by a priest does that make everything OK? What about if there’s no homosexuality, but all the drunks are having heterosexual sex while mentally picturing Michael Marcavage being sodomized by Pat Robertson? Will a city be OK then?
Sorry if this sounds flippant, but I’ve got a long weekend coming up and clearly some planning to do if I’m not going to be biblically punished by a petty, teetotal, sexually repressed deity.
Wonder what He’s got in store for all the rich sinners who got out in time?

It gets better Mark, on Fox they had a guy talking about how the people are looting because we don’t teach the Bible in schools (and Bill O’Reilly is talking about how they should be shot on sight) — it couldn’t possibly be because they have no clean water or food, could it?

Imagine I just uttered an expletive out loud while reading that, almost waking my wife. Because I did.
