That's one of my favorites. I'll randomly think of their "bbbrrring" when I hear a phone ring.

This reminds me I need to go see the Muppet exhibit here in town.

Grover is my favourite but perhaps being
a waiter is not his best career choice:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rygc5JQKYNQ

And this one on "fast food" clearly a sendup of McDonalds.

I think the blue bald guy needs to cook for himself though.

One of my favorite bits from The Muppet Show is
from Pigs in Space.

They land on an alien planet and scan for life signs.

The science officer looks at his tricorder and exclaims "The hills are alive!"

Immediately a bunch of alien muppets from behind a row of cheesy original series Star Trek style mountains pop up and say....

"With the sound of music!"

One of my all-time favorites, thanks for the link! I've also recently discovered old Muppet Show clips on YouTube, such as the perennial classic "Swedish Chef Makes Chocolate Mousse." (or should that be "moose"?)

I remember those aliens as well... but clearly childhood memories from 30+ years ago are not so reliable. I distinctly recall them saying "telephOOOOne" but at least here it seems they never do. Am I thinking of another skit?

I always liked the one where the Yip-Yips discover radio too. :)

I think my favorite random Sesame Street clip has to be the one where they have Julius Caesar hosting a "triangle party" where everyone brings their favorite triangles, but Caesar's best friend Brutus doesn't know what a triangle is so he brings a number 2 instead. Caesar then goes on and on saying "a two, Brutus?" and then everyone learns what a triangle is and it's all hunky-dory.

Hasn't been uploaded to YouTube yet though. :(

One of my all-time favorites. I haven't seen it for over 30 years, and yet the word cow was out of my mouth just before they said it. Exactly what I needed today -- thanks.

Sean -- One of my kids loathes getting her hair brushed, but will avoid sobbing if we fire up youtube. I thus have a near encyclopedic knowledge of available Sesame Street, Muppet Show, Betty Boop, and cute animal videos. I rediscovered the yip yips en route to finding Yo Yo Ma performing a quartet for cello, dinger, and two honkers. I've also gotten the kids hooked on Dr Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker, huzzah!
