He's a psychologist, and he's doing some fascinating science studying our beliefs and how we form them. EDIT: I went on to the bloggingheads website and found that he was on a recent Science Saturday. I'm a bit wary because he's debating someone from the templeton foundation, and I'm not sure how well that might fit in with the science. Well, I'm off to go watch it and decide.
