Pink Panther vs Astronomer

By Julianne Dalcanton | August 20, 2009 10:38 am

There are countless violations of laws of physics and astronomical practice, but it’s still pretty cute.

Yep, cute. I remember that one oh I don’t know around 45 years ago or more…

Since I was a high student, I knew that our atmosphere, when we use a telescope to look into the universe, could make us see things that are not really out there, but are part of the atmosphere, because of the physical characteristics of light, when it strikes against matter. I do not belive in planets out there. To me the planets are optical illusions of bodies in other parts of the universe and are reflected in our galaxy.I have been studying astronomy, cosmology, and exo-biology. I also studied the bible. The bible says that the Creator created the stars, the sun as our star, the earth and the moon. It doesn’t say anything about “planets”. The term “planet”, was invented by man and it means: without direction or address. So, the pink panter is right. We should stop looking at the creation without its creator. The bible says:”man was taken from earth dust, and to earth dust will return”, he will die and after death, nothing will be in his mind, everything will be over and nothing he can do!!!!!!. God bless those wise minds that recognizes HIM as GOD.

The United States as a great Super-Power have lots of setellites in orbit. We can see from orbit what Cristobal Colon, when dicovered the new world, could first see in the bible: the earth as a sphere and not plane. We can see, but we do not use to “observ”, and make analysis of the observed event issue or detail. NASA satellites are taken photos or pictures of the melting polar ice and glaciers. But our wisers scientific minds can not observ that our planet is a balanced planet and the ice is doing its job balancing the earth movements around its own axis and around the sun. There will be a moment when the planet will start rotating out of balance, and doing a sigzag movement in its orbit around the sun. The poles have to have their positions over the glove and so the glaciers. Earth will change its inclination of its axis due to the continuous ice melting and this process will cause earth to occur disastrous earthquakes, as the bible says will occur in the final days. The more the ices melt, the more earth will increase its momentum of its rotation. Days will be shortning……..

    Not. Even. Wrong………………………………

The Pink Panter Is Right. I wish we could see the creation with our eyes able to receive all kinds of radiations, and not only with white light. How would we be if we could see naturally the universe with UVR or IRR, instead of using telescopes????

  • Chris the Pragmatist

    Carlos,

THE SKY IS FALLING!!! THE SKY IS FALLING!!! On the one hand you don’t believe planets exist, on the other hand you believe the world is going to come to an end because the polar ice caps are going to melt causing the world to wobble further and further??? That is rich. I love the first line of your first comment “Since I was a high Student.” I think you are still high. Please take your fundamentalist views of science and nature to a more appropriate place, like the Republican National Congress, or the Vatican (Who, by the way, have actually admitted there are planets out there, and oh yes, Earth is NOT the center of the Universe!!!).

  • Chris the Pragmatist

I have researched all over the place on the internet and still have yet to find your Weeble Wobble theory of earth’s destruction. Polar Ice Caps melt, causing what? A shift in weight? A shift in balance? The polar ice caps are what is keeping us in our current orbit and stabilizing the planet from wobbling violently and off course? You mean, it has nothing to do with our planets relation to the sun, the moon and the other planets? Here’s a theory for you. If our planet warms up to the point that the polar ice caps all melt, we won’t be around to observe the ramifications because half the planet that is land based now, will be underwater. the amazon rainforest will be floooded with seawater, which will cause mass die offs of trees and plants. Storms will be more violent than ever, humanity will face greater threats from disease and pestulance, and it will all be because of man’s actions. No act of god, no Noahs Ark or Great Flood Part Deux.

I will continue replying tomorrow, even I don’t believe in time!!!!…..but the next rotational day-light……….when the clock point-out the 24 hours, 1:00-PM ET, FL. time……..
To me it is a great opportunity sharing my comments with so prestigious magazine: Discover,

Carlos — I appreciate that these are issues you have thought about, and about which you seem to care deeply. However, we do not really run the blog as a discussion forum for individuals’ unique theories of the cosmos. There are other sites that would be far more appropriate for discussing your views in depth.

You can find a more in-depth discussion of our comment policy here.

8-20-2009–4:45–PMET—Julianne, I thank you so very much for your advise. I do understand. I am very concerned over these issues because of my oun findings, but I am not worried about those opinions. There are no more blinded persons than those who don’t want to see beyond their noses and in-between lines. Events, and not time will be the best witness.
Please keep in touch with me……

    Thank you…

  • LethalTeapot

lol, Carlos…you have a great sense of humour…it’s amazing how people think you’re serious no matter what you’re saying, as long as you pretend you are Christian. However, I’m not sure Discover appreciates stunts like that.

Anyway, I love your vision of Armageddon. “There will be a moment when the planet will start rotating out of balance, and doing a sigzag movement in its orbit around the sun” [chuckle] Will it eventually start doing a celestial can-can with all the other planets? Oh, wait, there /aren’t/ any other planets (LOL).

Also, very creative typos. And I agree, The Pink Panter Is Always Right. Rest thy faith in him, and thou shalt be saved.

The part I liked best was how quickly the astronomer was institutionalized after announcing a bogus result. Hmmm…

  • Brian

Kinda similar to some shorts with Marvin the Martian. Also elements of that classic Michigan J. Frog character in One Froggy Evening.

I grew up with this material and it’s great fun revisiting it!

And his firing was front page news.

  • Sangeeta

But aren’t we all institutionalized already? Most of us belong to one institute or another…keeps us off the streets.

Seriously, all the kids in our house 4-40, love pink panther.

My favorite is the part where Pink Panther is falling with his house and is free floating, they got that mostly right.

  • Igor Khavkine

I agree with LethalTeapot. Methinks Carlos is a Poe.

  • Sili

Poor astronomer. He was a regular Gallileo – his detractors would not even look through his telescope.

(Like the pink panther’s astronomer ?) What fantastic things did you see Carlos ? how can you know it was not “really out there” ?
