Ah, casamurphy,
Verse, you write well,
Your lyric and rhyme,
Reminds me of Hesse:

"Eternity,
Is a mere moment,
Just long enough,
For a joke."

"If Aristotle Had Loved Women"

Aristotle, though wrong, is not to blame
for suggesting an endless series to be insane.
He never had the pleasure of your acquaintance
nor the metaphors of modern science.

If He had known that your every molecule
dies and is reborn in seven yearly intervals.
He’d rejoice with me as we proceeded
to imagine your body caressed and heeded.

And to notice the wondrous insufficiency
as seven years passed much to quickly.
With so many points of beauty left untouched
I’m sure he would gladly concede as much:

That an endless series can hold comfort
eternal past and future but a moment
captured when lovers gaze intently
and the universe collapses gently.

Gravity.

I'm not your cheap electromagnetic force,
Pandering to the humans.

Nor the strong one, proud and arrogant:
but only in its domain.

Nor the weak, an admission of weakness,
A shame on the name of Force.

While I breathe...
I RIP through space,
and Time!

Hahaha,
Run and hide,
You won't even know what hit you.

A strange note, I echo,
I don't harmonize,
Dissonant; close your ears in vain,
Listen!

Standard Model be damned,
schrodinger, heisenberg,
you quantum mechanics, I listen only to,
the Highest of your pantheon: Einstein!

Newton tried, but even He,
couldn't plumb my depths.
Confused, you stare at my children,
neutron stars, pulsars, Black Holes!

Sleep not, my foolish physicists,
I can hear you laughing,
Uncomfortably,
at Ptolemy; are you really better off?

In this godless universe,
I'm the father, the son,
and the holy ghost,
I am the Holy Fucking Ghost!

Poetry, Hell...I like poetry...taste this.

Black holes for breakfast
by Sphere Coupler

Upon waking in the night,

indirectly observed from light.

The coalescence of matter,

from former to latter,

topography tells us that all is a shatter.

It feeds upon that which cannot escape it’s grasp,

Unwary accelerations for those captured, seem to last.

It’s patient and silent as it sits all a menace,

A dangerously seductive single minded temptress.

Projecting dual jets to ward off competition,

come too close…mandatory admission,

taking all comers despite opposition.

It follows a nature not unknown to man,

Or is it only conceivable according to plan,

Much desired Altitudinarian.

Spinning black holes rip thru space,

Not caring for moderation or any such grace.

The younger ones die as the older ones age,

Survival of the fittest is all the rage.

An adjudicated future when black holes assume lonely

seeking to couple with the rest of the verse…only,

with the feasting at end, and black holes bloated,

a single purpose is destined for the devoted.

No more competition from others of name

They tire and cool and who is to blame?

The space and the holes become one and the same.

The irony of Entropy, a harmonious fate,

To mix and to match, to completely conflate.

A singularity of nothing, seemingly time does not care

The Universe has adapted that long lonely stare.

I don't like it.

Scientists,
Sitting in their labs.
Looking at me.
I want my privacy.

I'm a Black Hole.
Not a cheap hoe.
I spin, flip, fuse and scoff,
That's just me flipping you off.

Scribble away with your equations,
Use your telescopic gyrations,
Revolving around a trivial yellow sun,
Short, is going to be your lucky run.

You don't understand my singularity,
Heck, you don't even understand gravity!
So proud of writing in LaTeX,
You need a Total Perspective Vortex.

All you inventions will go to rust,
You'll go back to being stardust,
But travel the Universe, I must,
For I am the eternal Wanderlust.
