Someone must have looked into that - whether age affects fMRI response. Let me look... here&#039;s an early study that found that &#039;elderly&#039; people have weaker BOLD response to a simple task - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10385577

But that wouldn&#039;t explain the increased cingulate cortex response in old people.</description>
