The video illustrates just how dynamic our planet can be, no text or narration required. From melting glaciers to fluctuations in salinity, NASA uses colorful time-lapse imagery to show how much our world changes in a single revolution of the sun. In certain shots, the surface of the Earth seems to writhe, as wind patterns and ocean currents swirl eastward. Other views show how one season of irrigation can turn a dry and colorless landscape into a matrix of lush green circles.
The video is only two minutes long, but it shows what our world really looks like at night, during the day, up close and far away.
