		<description>What about the species that depend upon these mosquitoes as a food source?  Why not try to wipe out the disease instead? Wiping out the bottom of the food chain is just a bad idea.</description>

		<description>I will have to agree with Michael.  Plus, completely wiping out the species would be very impractical and will somehow affect the ecosystem negatively.</description>

Provided the modified mosquitos are just as attractive as the unmodified bugs, they will still have billions of unmodified males to compete with. With that many males mating and producing unmodified off spring, the populations will return to normal very quickly.</description>
