For example, you can't teach someone to be excited by leadership opportunities, or to be charismatic and extroverted. But if you're born with those qualities, there's a greater chance you'll want to do the things required to help you develop into a leader. Time-on-task thus leads to skill and expertise. You can't teach someone to be charismatic, or a self-motivated genius. The drive has to come from within. But if you're born with those qualities, you'll spend more time practicing the things that develop your talent. Since we're all 99% genetically alike, it's likely that only a few "master switch" genes are responsible for the difference, which are easily detected by DNA tests.
