In addition to the problems with food additives, there is also our old friend the "sugar high." When my son was in kindergarten the teacher would only allow sweets (birthday celebrations) just before class was dismissed. As she told me: "I'll let the parents deal with the sugar acceleration." There are now so many food additives going into our pre-school kids when they are away from parental control, it wouldn't surprise me if some of these events were linked.
