Come to southern Mexico. These guys are in almost every river and stream here so you can get this for free and I´ve never heard of anyone getting sick from it. I had a rash on my foot and the fish helped it.

The spa owners have said repeatedly that the water is changed in the tank after each use and no group of fish is used in the same day. They rotate the fish. Add that to the fact that no one has produced evidence of this spread of disease. I think this is a great idea. Besides any pedicure can be dangerous. A friend of my aunt had to have an amputation after a regular pedicure. She was a diabetic and got an infection after a pedi. The sanitation depends on the diligence of the spa. Plain and simple.

Lol…I don’t really know if I’d try it, but I think I’d rather risk my feet with the fish than my body in the public swimming pool. (And Cathy, where are you going to get pedi for $40 PLUS a back and foot massage? I wanna go there, too!)

I think I’ll stick with my traditional mani-pedis for $40 that also come with a nice hour long back and foot massage.
