Jaunty Jackalope Ubuntu

Installed Jaunty Jackalope with Wubi. Definitely feels like a smoother UI on my Lenovo.

    told you its a much more refined linux than the other ubuntu versions… perhaps one of the distributions as far as polish, organization, etc.

    I’m a fan of Fedora, but this is definitely a top notch release from the Ubuntu team. My only gripe is the lack of PackageKit as the default package manager.

    Strangely, I had no end of problems trying to install JJ with the Wubi installer on the disc (it would complain about a missing .ISO file then quit), and I ended up having to download a more recent version of Wubi, running that from a folder also containing a copy of the CD image. Still, it makes life much easier if you need to dual-boot.
