Those look so good, but I've got a very low tolerance to any spicy food now. But my wife takes these, grinds them up and freezes them for use in chutneys or cooking.

You got problem...

"Intervention": Capsaicin Addicts

"Razib has had his whole lower intestine removed, but continues to eat peppers despite the pleas of his loved ones. He began "mainlining", with a turkey baster, pure capcaicin when he was 34.

He currently resides in a hindu temple, where he is belived to be an avatar of the fire god Agni."

Yes, please. Beautiful!

A friend grew Ghosts for me this year, I keep ghost pepper powder in my purse, I can't get enough of the hot stuff. Funny, it never gives me digestive issues like it does some people.

Hot peppers are low calorie & spicy food makes you feel full faster, or at least that has been my experience. Also LOTS of vitamin C. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

#1, i eat 6-10 hot lemons at a time with a savory course.

#4, yeah, i won't eat all of this. the issue is that i can handle it on my tongue probably, but my stomach has a lower threshold, and the lower reaches of my alimentary system is even more sensitive. so the 'rate limiting step' is '24 hours laterr.'

#3, no, i've developed a very high tolerance, partly by living alone and eating by myself in my 20s.

Just curious, and taking the "It's what's for dinner" angle (too?) seriously. How many calories is a plate like that? Is that an appetizer, or will you be full when you're done?

Does everybody in your family have the same level of spice tolerance? I could see some neat within-family genetic analysis there...

Those yellow ones are the "hot lemon" variety! I grew them this summer... Dried them because they were too abundant (and too spicy) for much fresh eating... What are you going to do with yours?
