Arikia has just informed current and former sciblings via Twitter that last week’s ‘Boy Paradox‘ has a complement:
I continue to argue the logic is flawed.
Smart girls are hot. Further, attractiveness is directly related to the other two factors, as well as humor, confidence, and even a quirk here or there. Hence, ‘hot’ is dependent upon the alternative variables labeled plus those not accounted for in the figure.

In the dusty warehouse of Ben Nelson’s Libido, mean girls aren’t hot. But smart girls can be mean. Therefore, some smart girls aren’t hot.
Also, all girls who only date assholes are themselves assholes by proxy. And nice girls with no personality are annoying.
This whole paradigm is just unworkable.

Anyone who thinks girls (of any flavor) only date assholes *seriously* needs to visit Heartless Bitches International (www.heartless-bitches.com), *especially* their “nice guys” section. That viewpoint (that women prefer assholes) always originates from spineless, misogynist wet blankets who are so absorbed with self pity that they can’t see that their own behavior is the problem.
This diagram (and the male version thereof) sum up the most short-sighted, ego-centric, self-pitying tripe that the internet is capable of dredging up. Unless it’s meant to be a joke, in which case it’s just not funny. MADE OF FAIL.

some people need to revisit the idea of the Venn diagram…really what these diagrams are saying in a humorous way is that when a girl finds a guy that “has it all”, he will be gay (see previous Venn diagram in another post), and that when a guy finds a girl that has it all, she will be dating an asshole (because of course no guy actually thinks that he, himself is an asshole…). Oh, and the girl Venn does allow smart girls to be hot, but, well, you know…

Simply based on personal experience, most smart girls I have met would not probably be considered “hot” in the physically attractive sense. However many of them have been empathetic, understanding and tolerant, attributes which some might consider “hot”.

I think it’s the middle slice that throws this out of wack with the boy one. “Only dates assholes” is really an insult at the girl who fits the other three, and is resentful rather than just being frustrated. “Gay” isn’t an insult, at least, among reasonably likeable people.
You’d have to put something intrinsic in there for it to make sense: “taken” or “cousin” or something.
