Where I live, Long Island, roadsides and adjacent woods are typically covered with blowing plastic bags,
plastic drink bottles, styrofoam &lt;i&gt;etc.  &lt;/i&gt; and the Atlantic is not far away.  I don&#039;t think we can blame a corporation this time.  Its &lt;i&gt;us&lt;/i&gt;.  Homo sapiens.   Grocery stores are starting to offer reusable bags 
and they&#039;re starting to catch on, but clearly thats not enough.  What&#039;s the solution?  Can biodegradables replace all the functions that people want in plastics?</description>
