Ways To Support The Relief Effort In Haiti (UPDATED)

The 7.0 earthquake that hit Haiti yesterday is devastating. We will continue to update this post with ways to support relief efforts and encourage our readers to add additional legitimate initiatives in comments. We ask that those with blogs repost these links on their sites.

    A simple idea: take $10 from your wallet, and give it to a friend or colleague, if they will agree to text “Haiti” to 90999 from their cell phone. They will be charged $10 on their cell phone bill, and the International Red Cross will receive $10. Tell them to take the ten dollars and find another person to do the same.

    The key here is that the tangible money is an ever-present reminder to take action. It’s too easy to not do anything otherwise.
