		<description>OMG, you have no idea how close this is to my life.  I came into work and noticed hardly any cars in the lot.  I though maybe the second summer session hadn&#039;t started yet.  It didn&#039;t hit me till much later that everyone else took the holiday.</description>

		<description>Thanks to the USSR and the Cold War, my wife and I were able to go straight from our doctoral programs to well-paying, interesting  jobs. I can understand why talented young people with a bent for the sciences think twice before committing themselves to the field, and why more than 50% of our science grad students today are from underdeveloped countries.</description>
