		<description>One thing I can&#039;t understand is why we should aim for having more women in science just for the sake of having more women in science? I thought the goal is to do good science, not to have both sexes equally represented. 

Do not get me wrong, I do not say this because I think that women are worse scientists than men, it is just that as long as a distinction is being made between sexes there will be no equality. The only thing that all this  &quot;&quot;OMG, we don&#039;t have 50-50 women and men in science, what are we gonna do&quot; talk is doing is to make most people think that there really is something not quite right with women. The solution to the problem should be looked for in eliminating the perception of differentness and this will not happen if the difference in question is pointed out all the time</description>
