		<description>Mr. Smidt, I think you might have the demographics mixed up.  The demographic cited in this article is ages 18-24, which constitutes &quot;Generation Y&quot;, whereas the Science Daily article you cite is referring to Gen X, those born in the 60s-70s.  It would be understandable that those who are reaching or in middle age would be loyal to their faith and more ideologically stagnant, whereas the &quot;younger generation&quot; (Gen Y) are losing their religion much faster by being more ideologically fluid.  As Gen Y reaches maturity and begins the next generation (Gen Z?), we might expect that the &quot;nones&quot; will continue to proliferate as successive generations becoming increasingly liberal from their predecessors.  Even as Gen X stabilizes, that alone is unlikely to stem the transition to a more secular culture.</description>
