That ucla study seems strange to me. They based it on the number of times they talked about a think tank, among other factors. But that doesn’t seem to make sense to me, what if there is (totally hypothetical) a lynching somewhere? Wouldn’t the NAACP be mentioned more frequently in connection with a story of this type. If the NAACP is mentioned more often because there is a real news issue, that doesn’t make the agency suddenly left bias, it seems like a legitimate story item (on the other hand, if during a story about a lynching the agency talked about the heritage foundation…that would be weird).

They also omitted editorials, which…well, that’s crazy to me.

Admittedly left biased here, in the interests of full disclosure.

The Daily Show does this all the time. Just because they proclaim themselves as “fake news” doesn’t mean it’s less informative. Jon Stewart has become an instrumental voice for separating the reality from Fox News bulls**t and their self-serving, self-contradictory talking heads and programming.

I believe the entire TDS archives are online at Comedy Central. Search in there, you’ll find a lot, and all using video clips from Fox’s own programs so it’s verifiable. Mr. Stewart’s snarky commentary helps make it all the more pointed and obvious, else all we would have left is to cry.

Not sure where to start, but I’ll tackle one:

To make it simple, the questions are “Were there WMDs in Iraq before we invaded?” and “Did we find any WMDs in Iraq after the invasion?”

The correct answer, to both of these questions, is yes.

If you ask “Were there all the weapons W claimed in his state of the union address?” Then the answer is no.

Am I wrong here? Isn’t it clear that left leaning media outlets are the ones misinforming by saying “there never were any” or “we never found any”.

The only accurate portrayal of WMDs in Iraq is that there were some, we found some, but W oversold how many.

yes, off topic, but i am certainly interested in knowing if there’s any research that contradicts the 5 studies i cited.
