Sigh. Bloglines just got updated, with all of your recent posts repeated. In this post an ad appeared for the New York Times Home Delivery. (URL http://feeds.feedburner.com/~a/TheLoom?a=TvHBnD)

This practice will probably spread until I can't avoid it, but for now I'm unsubscribing from your RSS feed. If it turns out to be Bloglines doing, I'll quit them and apologize here...

Could you pass on a message to whoever does the Language Log that they should have comments? It's a wonderful blog that I read, but I always want to respond to things & there's no way. I couldn't even find an email of who runs the thing.

Language Log tried having comments (about a year ago or so), but gave up on it a week or two later. I don't recall the reason, though I think they were annoyed by people filling the comments with not-very-relevant rants.

It is possible to communicate with the authors; in the right-hand sidebar is a section called "Links", which has the web pages of the contributors. You can usually find their email addresses on their pages (e.g., Mark Liberman, who is the person "running" it, has his email address on his web page).
