    The lyric is “Mr Charles Darwin had the gall to ask”. Never mind, it’s only a tattoo.

    The lyric, in nearly every live performance of the song R.E.M. has played in the past decade, is in fact, “Mr. Charles Darwin had the balls to ask.”
