I find this whole kerfluffle interesting in light of Naomi Oreskes's 2004 metaanalysis (Science 306, 3 December 2004), which found that none of the nearly 1,000 peer-reviewed articles between 1993 and 2003 in Web of Science on global climate change--none--went against the international consensus that human beings were responsible for significant recent global warming. The pattern of denial--insisting that there is a scientific controversy when there is, in fact, none--shows clear parallels with the creationist response to evolution.
