I’m a big fan of Xtranormal movies. And I write, among other things, about big debates in evolutionary biology. So this creation, from Jon Wilkins, a biologist at the Santa Fe Institute, is the essence of awesomesauce.
I’ll have to reread those Nature articles and your article as well to better understand this issue. I suspect it’ll come up in conversation with various misinformers and I should be better prepared. Some of this movie slipped past me–of course, I was distracted as I was wondering why was there a Western Meadowlark calling in the background. Birds, for me, are the equivalent of “Squirrel!” for dogs and those afflicted with ADHLAS.

I “borrowed” a review copy of Nowak’s book which was sent to GrrlScientist, and I’m now convinced that it’s just a big joke. Show the final chapter to a kin selectionist, and see if they piss themselves laughing.

Over and above that, what the other Wilkins said.
