CreatureCast presents the baroque life on a lobster

The folks at CreatureCast have created a new animation about the weirder corners of zoology. Behold Symbion pandora, an animal that clings to the mouthparts of lobsters, where it engages in the weirdest sex life I’ve ever heard of.

    The text says “chordoid”, but the narrator say “chordroid”. Apparently both words exist, but I can’t figure out which one is right for this video.

  2. That was pretty cute, though I don’t think the lobsters must be very happy about having their mouths encrusted with these things lol. Which brings up a question… How do they avoid being swallowed by the lobster?
