Welcome to Iowa City! City of Literature, home of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Pagliai’s Pizza near Motley Cow, Hamburg Inn 2 which is a stop for the Presidents also near Motley Cow. It’s known to have the 2nd highest concentration of college degreed residents in the nation. Up the river just below the Coralville Dam (north of Coralville, not the one in Coralville) is Devonian Gorge. Have someone run you up there to check it out.

Enjoy ICIA! It’s a great little city that I love. I agree about the Motley Moo completely. And visit the natural history museum – it’s in one of the old Capitol Buildings (don’t remember which one, sorry). And visit Prairie Lights. A great book store. How I envy you …

Be sure to eat at the Motley Cow on North Linn St. Don’t let the name fool you – they don’t specialize in beef, but in local, organic foods. Excellent chef. I am in no way connected to the restaurant, other than it was one of my favorite places in Iowa City.
