		<description>Yeah I was going to make the same point - isn&#039;t it possible that the primary problem in these prosopagnosics was elsewhere, and the white matter degeneration us secondary to it? Still a very interesting dataset.
Also, this reminds me of V S Ramachandran&#039;s theory of the Capgras Delusion - the feeling that your loved ones are not really your loved ones but imposters. Namely that it&#039;s caused by a disconnection between the fusiform face area and the amygdala, so the sight of your loved ones no longer produces an emotional response, which the brain rationalises as meaning that they&#039;re not real.
