and can&#039;t see how people around the Baltic sea did not eat fish or drink milk to have provided enough vitamin D so as not to be selected for white skin, blue eyes, blonde hair. It would seem that camouflage would be more significant, as in the desert reptiles, though why Baltic grain farmers would benefit more than hunters and gatherers is not clear, unless the grain there differed from others (winter wheat?).
