I was initially amused by your PIO exchange, but lost my stomach for it after he flamed out. I'm glad he apologized though--I imagine he'll have some self-deprecating but illuminating remarks when he gives his Top Ten tips in March. It's one thing to be given a bunch of tips by someone who has never ignored those tips, and quite another to hear the same talk given by a person who has learned those tips by making mistakes--it makes them more 'human', and you it is easier to connect and sympathize with them as most of us have made some pretty bone-headed mistakes in other areas. Anyway, glad to hear things have resolved for you.

Liked the bear link. I've crawled down into a black bear den and snagged some cubs. It's not as dangerous as it sounds as mother bear is drugged first...and she's usually pretty groggy even before then. Our bear expert had a tv personality, Rick Mercer, crawl down into the den for a segment of his tv show (The Rick Mercer Report). Clip here.

O/T: if you want to see more of Rick, google Rick Mercer rants. Usually pretty funny in a serious sort of way.

Ed, this one is an email address, not a link.

Jay Rosen skewers the “Twitter can’t topple dictators” genre

Cheers.
