If it is at all advantageous, it seems to be so little advantageous as to provide no selective force at all, in comparison with all the other important things that need to be selected for. I have trouble that some pruney proto-primates, who probably spent little time in water, were able to produce more offspring that their brethren who didn't get pruney fingers.
