If you want cheaper chicken, gene-gineer chickens without feathers.  It&#039;s a huge waste stream of protein and cooling the barns is expensive.  Chicken metabolism is around 78 kcal/day-kg.  125,000 chickens emit smelly 472 kW 24/7.</description>
