julianpenrod, I think you will find the book would surprise you completely. It is not what you think. It is bold and clear and deeply humanistic thinking, and not at all in the direction you are going. I hope you’ll give it a chance.

We are all in this together, we all have different struggles and successes. How about figuring out how to compromise i.e. work together to make the world a better place for everyone!

I’m an atheist, and I gotta admit I did found some of these projects appealing, especially the relationships center, which is a place I would definitely go to.
But at the same time, it feels slightly “wrong” to visualize a society where atheism is the main religion. Maybe it’s just that I think of atheism as the underdog of religions, as it’s counter-intuitive, or maybe it’s because I don’t think of us atheists as a very homogeneous group of people who can agree on a specific way of doing things. And thus a society running on atheism seems far stretched, almost funny.
Another reason I think this vision feels “forced” is that atheism is linked to tolerance and diversity, and thus a world with a single viewpoint kinda defeats the point.

Gigantic monitors displaying images intended to invole a feeling of insignificance. Billboards espousing the philosophy people are required to obey, not what they feel inherently as right, fair, just, decent and ethical, in other words, the rule of law extended down to the minutest facets of life, erasing all independence of thought, even if to act in a unison with others that the individual agress with. A huge building with the title “Department for Relationships”, as opposed, say to the Ministry of Truth? Mental disorders, such as the desire to thinnk that you’re right and the government is trying to control you, handled by sneding people to appropriately mind numbing destinations, since the govenrment proctors are so viciously anti-human they can’t counsel people to health! Overall, nothing more than calculated, omnipresent thought control, guided not by the benefit of people overall, but only the desire to keep them complacent tools for the obscenely rich to use. A dramatic demonstration of the fact that atheism is inherently anti-human, devoted solely to demonic despotic control over every aspect of the people’s lives, for the sole purpose of making them nothing more than tools to make the obscenely rich oinscenely richer. And the failure of atheists to denounce this is only wholesale admission of their craven anti-human sentiments going hand-in-hand with their God hating ways.
