Worst ever photo of a California condor
We went on a trip to see California condors in the wild, with people who I shall call the Stewards of Condor. We ended up seeing six birds, five of which were soaring in the distance and were only really visible through binoculars. This one was the only one that could be photographed and then, only just. It's the black shape in the middle of the circle, facing away from the camera. Seeing a bird at this distance may not sound much fun, but let's put this into perspective. There are fewer than 200 of these birds left in the wild so the grainy, blurry blob in this photo represents at least 0.5% of the wild condors left in the world.
