This cat is mostly like mine. My cat is long haired Burmese with some Persian, full black to brown fur colour, but with white paws and white fur spots on belly. She is nearly 19 years old. When she sits on a black/brown cushion or blanket, all you can see are thses little white paws moving about! It’s like – where’s the cat!

Can someone explain this inside joke? The misspelling and the daily post celebrating cats?

***My cat is long haired Burmese with some Persian,***

Cute, I’ve never seen a long haired burmese, but I guess if it has some persian then it would be. That grey cat looks quite large in the 3rd pic, almost like a maine coon.

OneSTDV, people post their cat’s pictures on friday. the practice started on kevin drum’s calpundit in the early aughts. and of course lolcats has a lot of misspellings. if the references confuse you, you can google them.

smaller than a maine coon, or smaller than the ones i’ve seen. some have said she’s a norwegian forest cat.

Yeah, certainly could pass for a norwegian forest cat. Our cat has similar features with the long hair, ruff & bushy tail although I think she’s probably just a long haired tabby/tortoiseshell (we adopted her as a stray in NZ).

Is there a known association between being a cat-lover and being mildly autistic? or “scientific-minded”? or whatever?
    Just curious…
